Description:
Culantro is a flavorful herb used in Caribbean cooking. It is used extensively
in Peurto Rico for stews, soups, beans, salsas, etc. It is a more flavorful
substitute for Cilantro for all your dishes. Also known as Long Coriander or
Thai Parsley. Can be hard to start
from seed, but after starting it can have a longer growing season than Cilantro.
Care:
Likes shadier, more fernlike conditions.
Harvesting:
Remove the oldest leaves all the way down to the base of the plant leaving the
young new leaves to grow. The leaves can be chopped and used fresh or frozen
to keep their fresh flavor.
